Parish Clergy

Fr. John Vlahos is a Protopresbyter of the Greek Orthodox Church and has served the Archdiocese of America for the past 21 years as an ordained clergyman. He joined the St. Paraskevi Community in October 2020. Prior to joining us, Fr. John was the Dean of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City from 2014 to 2020. Previous to that, he was the presiding priest of the Church of the Holy Resurrection in Brookville, New York from 2008-2014 and the Associate Priest of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Hempstead, New York from 2006-2008. He began his ordained ministry as a Deacon to Archbishop Demetrios of America from 2002-2006.
 
Fr. John was born and raised in Merrillville, Indiana. He is a 2001 graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline Massachusetts  (M.Div). His undergraduate studies were in Public Finance at Indiana University.
 
Fr. John is married to Presvytera Tina and they have two daughters.
